My Trip To New Orleans | Life
This is my third trip to New Orleans and every time is something new. The city is filled with so much talent, culture, and a lot of southern hospitality and I love it!
I went to visit my mom for the Thanksgiving weekend and was able to go to the Bayou Classic and experience the Bayou Classic Weekend. Every visit is always good time and there’s always something going on so there’s never a dull moment.
I arrived in New Orleans on Wednesday and spent the first two days at home spending time with my mom and sister for Thanksgiving. Friday I took pictures at Audubon Park and in the evening headed out to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for the Bayou Classic battle of the bands and greek show between the two rivals Grambling State and Southern University (who, both, showed up and showed out). The following day was the parade and afterwards I just walked around the French Quarter and took pictures. Sunday we couldn’t really do much because of the tornado watch, but before heading to the airport we had to make a quick stop to Cafe Du Monde for beignets! This was my trip in a nutshell.
Some places I recommend visiting are:
The French Quarter/French Market
Cafe Du Monde
Louis Armstrong Park
New Orleans City Park (Celebration in the Oaks is the best time to go)
